IFC’s first SME Toolkit was launched in 2002 and is now available in over 32 countries and 18 languages. Its various websites worldwide receive a combined 5 million unique visitors annually. In many places it is the largest online business support resource in the local language.
This free online service covers all key management areas: accounting, finance, human resources, international business, legal, insurance, marketing, sales, operations and technology. Entrepreneurs can access plenty of interactive features such as; how-to articles, business directory, online training, networking via social media, and more. SME TOOLKIT IN THE UAE
In 2012, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development signed an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to develop the SME Toolkit web platform for the UAE (www.smetoolkit.ae). Khalifa Fund has greatly invested in content development for the Toolkit in order to fulfill its mandate of spreading an entrepreneurial culture across the UAE. Through its collaboration with various strategic partners in the SME community, from the public and private sectors alike. The SME Toolkit UAE is not only a resource for the entrepreneur, but it is also a catalyst for entrepreneurship development in the UAE.
